Nevada Democratic Voter Registration Rolls Outpace Republicans in July

The voter registration numbers for all political parties in Nevada increased in July 2016, as shown by the data released by Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske’s Election Division today. The number of statewide active registered voters increased by 24,923 (1.89%) compared to June 2016.

Of the 1,346,835 active registered voters in Nevada:

• 537,153 (39.88%) are Democrats
• 464,766 (34.51%) are Republicans
• 262,417 (19.48%) are Nonpartisan
• 59,176 (4.39%) are members of the Independent American Party
• 10,868 (0.81%) are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada; and
• 12,455 (0.92%) are members of other minor political parties.

Total active Republican voter registration increased by 1.29% (5,938), while total active Democratic voter registration increased by 1.62% (8,564).
