Metro Unemployment Rates All Fall Below 5% in May

The latest stats from the Bureau of Labor Statistics are out, breaking down headline unemployment rates and employment gains by metro area. Nevada Unemployment Holds Steady at 4.7% in May

According to the latest figures from Nevada’s Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR), the state’s headline unemployment rate remained steady in May at 4.7 percent. That’s 0.4 percentage points higher than the national rate, and 9 percentage points below the recessionary peak of 13.7 percent. Nevada Wages Fell in Last Quarter of 2016

The BLS county employment and wage summary is out for the final quarter of 2016. From December 2015 to December 2016, employment increased in 280 of the 344 largest U.S. counties.
